Yuva Goonj session on Women Empowerment

A woman is a being with senses, imagination and thoughts; she should be able to express them freely. Individual empowerment means to have the self-confidence to articulate and assert the power to negotiate and decide.

The quotation has been rightly said by Swami Vivekananda Ji -“There is no chance for the welfare of the world unless the condition of women is improved, It is not possible for a bird to fly on only one wing. ”- which means that until and unless our society improves the surviving conditions of women in our society, the world cannot progress further.

Yuva Goonj, the NGO club of IILM Gurgaon  is progressing towards their mission  of  Women development and Women empowerment. Keeping to this,  the members of the club organized a session on “Women Empowerment” along with Navjyoti India Foundation, Gurugram in the rural areas of Haryana. During the session, Dr. Pinky Goswami threw some light on the importance of women empowerment in the society.

The session was followed up by one-to-one meeting where each women discussed their various issues and challenges with Dr. P.Goswami and found ways to overcome them and increase their self esteem and thereby raise  their level of confidence. The beneficiaries left with good satisfaction and renewed confidence to live an empowered life.
